The purpose of the meeting was to receive public comment on the DRAFT long-range planning report for State-Supported Living Centers (summary below). The meeting was convened by Scott Schalchlin, Associate Commissioner. Many participants did not provide public comment but sent in written comments. Summary: Reimagining the Future is developed under the statutory authority of the 202021 General Appropriations Act, House Bill 1, 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019 (Article II, Health and Human Services Commission, Rider 110) and Texas Health and Safety Code §533A.032.
