Proposed Quality Metrics and Performance Requirements for the Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP) for Nursing Facilities

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) conducted a public hearing to receive public comments on proposed quality metrics and associated performance requirements for the Quality Incentive Payment Program (QIPP) for nursing facilities for state fiscal year 2024. The public hearing as held in accordance with 1 T.A.C. §353.1304. The draft Quality Metrics for QIPP Year 7 (SFY 2024) are available on the QIPP webpage. 1.Call to order.  Kim Golkale, HHSC convened the meeting at 1:00 pm 2.Proposed Metrics  Consistent with the CMS-approved SFY2023 Program Requirements.  Public comments will be accepted until 5 p.m. on December 22, 2022, via US mail or email. Final quality metrics to be submitted to CMS will be published on the QIPP website by February 1, 2023. The metrics were published November 9, 2022 and will be applicable for the 7th program year.  The final version of the metrics after being published by or on February 1, 2023  will be subject to CMS approval.
