Texas Council on Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders advises DSHS and recommends needed action for the benefit of people with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders and their caregivers. Council members, appointed by the Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Speaker of the House serve staggered six- year terms, with terms of four members expiring August 31 of each odd-numbered year.
