  • Texas Women in Poverty: Part II: This second and final posting on female poverty in Texas examines how female poverty affects children. Best practices for addressing structural gender inequities that create and sustain poverty among women and children will also be discussed, as will benefits of such policies to the Texas economy, including implications for public spending.
  • HHSC: State Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Committee: This Committee provides recommendations and ongoing input on the statewide implementation and operation of Medicaid managed care. The committee looks at a range of issues, including program design and benefits, systemic concerns from consumers and providers, efficiency and quality of services delivered by Medicaid managed care organizations, contract requirements for Medicaid managed care, provider network adequacy, and trends in claims processing.
  • HHSC: Intellectual and Developmental Disability System Redesign Advisory Committee: The Intellectual and Developmental Disability System Redesign Advisory Committee gathered on March 7, 2018. The Intellectual and Developmental Disability (IDD) System Redesign Advisory Committee, created by Government Code, Chapter 534, advises HHSC on the implementation of the acute care services and long-term services and supports (LTSS) system redesign for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
